Fidget, Putty & Slime

Spikeyring with Dual Pads - Purple & Pink

by Kaiko

Two textured pads on a fidget loop, with firmer and softer fingertip options.

Some children seem to find every couch seam, jumper cuff and rough little corner when their fingertips need stronger feeling.

The thing their hands remember

Some days it may sit near homework. Other days it may be clipped with everyday grab-and-go things, ready for the car or the walk out the door. Over time, the useful part is not a big new routine. It is the quiet shift of your child’s fingers finding the purple and pink pads, choosing the harder or softer texture, and having somewhere more suited to go.

Product overview

For the days when fingers need more to do

In many homes, fidgeting is not loud or dramatic — it is fingers searching while listening, waiting, reading or sitting nearby. At first your child may test both pads and notice the difference between the spikey side and the softer bristles. Soon they may start reaching for the one that feels right that day. Before long, it can become the familiar little thing their hands look for when they need deeper, more focused fingertip input.

Product details

Thoughtful details that make a difference

A more specific place for fingernails

The textured pads give fingers an intended surface to press, pick at or drag nails across, instead of constantly searching for clothing, skin or whatever edge is nearby. Kaiko describes the design as offering picking support and a ‘hurt without harm’ style of input.
Why this matters

If your child is likely to drag the pads across skin, please supervise closely. Extensive dragging across skin can cause reddening and, if prolonged, skin breakdown, so supervision and/or an alternative tool is required in that situation.

More value than a single texture

Because the set includes two detachable double-sided pads on the loop, your child is not limited to one feel. The firmer pad, softer pad and fidget loop work together as a small tactile set rather than a single-use fidget.
Why this matters

This helps answer the real parent question of whether it will keep being reached for after the first try.

Is there anything to watch for when using the pads on skin?

Please note extensive dragging across skin can cause reddening and, if prolonged, skin breakdown so supervision &/or an alternative tool is required if the person using is likely to use in this way.
